When is enough, enough??!!!
I see too many videos of unarmed brown men being treated in the most inhumane manner, tasered in front of their children and killed by police officers and vigilantes.
This current pandemic is a wake-up call for each and every one of us. There are people are looking forward to going back to “normal.” Whatever the future is going to present us, let us stand against the virus called FEAR and stand for a world that honors our common humanity.
Fear, of itself, is neutral, what you do with it what’s important. When someone with “authority” or privilege decides to misuse their power, fear shows up as (white) supremacy, injustice, oppression, and the blatant killing of brown men and women, by those who apparently say their motto is to “Protect and Serve.” I wonder who and what they are protecting and serving. Hmm!!!
Taking the life of another is a scar on the soul of humanity. And none of us are immune to the effects of this kind of action. The impact is costly - spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Whether you hide in the illusion of “Thank God it is not happening to me/us.” Or maybe you are the “that is so sad folks.” Whether you are aware of it or not. We are all affected. These kinds of actions contaminate our ability to trust life or believe that we are supported by a friendly Universe.
Whatever we fail to heal and deal with, lives in us and we pass onto the next generation.
We all have a role to play in the healing of the virus of supremacy, injustice, oppression, inequality, religious oppression, abuse of power, privilege, marginalization of another human being because of their racial identity, gender, sexual orientation, and all the ways we “other” ourselves.
Taking sides is no solution. We all must wake the fuck up, speak up, and take inspired action. Do not waste precious time and energy with leaders who have their own agenda. Look to those who are leading with empathy, integrity, right action, speaking truth to power, and power to truth.
Our future is created by the actions we take in the present moment. Are you a part of the solution or part of the problem??
Peace and Blessings.
