![]() I received this (see below) today from my dear friend and mentor - Rev. Mary Ruffner. I also call her my spiritual midwife, because she always seems to know the exact words to speak when I am in the midst of birthing a new reality. . . needing a shift in consciousness. May Rev. Mary's words shift your consciousness in recognizing and re-membering that the Christ Consciousness dwell in you. Peace and Blessings, Ade __________ "Greetings! It was Palm Sunday back in 1972 when I entered a Religious Science “church” (now called “center”) for the first time. At the time I didn’t realize it was Palm Sunday. I was simply drawn to a spiritual community that I had heard about; one that was completely foreign to anything I had previously known about religion. The minister was telling a familiar story in a very unfamiliar way. Yet, for the first time the story made perfect sense to me. It suddenly became the story of my unfolding experience of life. My True Self was aroused. I followed the dramatic tale from Palm Sunday to Good Friday until the crescendo on Easter Morning. From the moment I first heard that life-changing account until now, I have studied, practiced, and taught the Life Principle that moves us from who we believe we are (the ego) to a realization of who we truly are (the Christ). When I use the term “Christ” I am referring to a state of being where one knows his/her inseparable oneness with the Divine. I fully acknowledge that this Christ Consciousness became fully orbed within the personage and life of Jesus, the great example. He demonstrated that the presence of God is within each of us. His story is indeed our story. While the people, places and things involved in his journey may not be our personal experience; nonetheless, upon close examination we may very well discover that they truly represent the people, places and things we encounter in our journey of awakening to our True Selves. Ernest Holmes said, “Jesus could not help but become The Christ as the human gave way to the divine.” The same potential is ours. At the center of our being is the exact image and likeness of God. Paul, the apostle, is known to say, “Christ in you the hope of glory.” As metaphysicians, the familiar story may not be taken literally. And I say, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if it is seen as mythology; an allegory; or a historical, political event – the message itself is timeless. “Everything must change, nothing stays the same. Everyone must change. Nothing stays the same. The young become the old, Mysteries do unfold. 'Cause that's the way of time. Nothing and no one goes unchanged. There are not many things in life you can be sure of. Except, Rain comes from the clouds, and sun lights up the sky, and humming birds do fly. Winter turns to spring. Wounded hearts will heal. Never much too soon. Everything must change.” No matter what your perspective is, may this season be a time of Love, Light and Joy." Richest blessings, Rev. Mary www.stillpointcsl.org
